Century is a large complex spanning an entire block at East 29th and Fraser St, in the heart of the up and coming Fraser / Cedar Cottage neighbourhood.
Built in two phases in 2011 by Ledingham McAllister, Century features 213 condos and 32 townhouse units. The architecture is heritage style with modern materials and design: brick, wood and hardi-plank exterior, large overhangs and big balcony’s. Interiors featured a “Traditional” or “Contemporary” look (which would have been decided by the original Buyer or the Developer). Flooring is engineered hardwood, with carpet in the bedrooms. In the unit, you have either traditional shaker cabinets, or sleek flat front cabinets, both in white, granite or quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, tiled backsplash, great lighting, electric heating (including the fireplace), front load washer/dryer, and a variety of upgrade options that some owners may have chosen during construction. Top Floor units facing North/West may have some views of the mountains and the city, and units off E 29th will be quiet a bit quieter. Ground floor units generally have large patios. There are a number of different floor plans in the building.
Century allows pets (both cats and dogs) and rentals. There is a common courtyard between the two buildings and the complex itself is very family friendly.
In terms of the location, Century is off Fraser St, which has seen quite a resurgence in the last few years, in no small part to this Condo Development. The ground floor of the Development has a No Frills Grocery Store, Starbucks, and Shopper’s Drug Mart, with some great coffee shops, delicious restaurants and transit options nearby.
The school catchment is Sir Richard McBride Elementary and Sir Charles Tupper Secondary.
