East Van Picks of the Week: October 15-19

I’m going to chose some of my favourite listings, from the condo, townhouse/duplex, and detached markets and let you know that they should be on your list if they’re within your criteria. Keep in mind, these picks are some of my faves, but they might not work for you and your situation! I’m choosing these because of the space, the price and the quality. This week’s listings take us from Mount Pleasant, to Victoria, to Commercial Drive.

My take: This is one of the best of the newer building in Mount Pleasant. The floor plans are tight but well laid out with walk through closets, cheater ensuite and a den. You get the extras like a gas fireplace and stove, high ceilings and parking (of course). The building is in great shape too and the area is top notch.

The floor plan is arrange well with good sized rooms, windows on two sides for extra light and multiple balconies. The unit also comes with 2 parking, which is a bonus in this area, along with extra storage. The location puts you close to Trout Lake and the fantastic community centre. For young families, these townhouses are a great choice.

My take: I’ve had my eye on this house for a couple weeks now. It’s not a new listing but they dropped their price this week from $2,049,000 to $1,998,000. This house is a great mix between a classic heritage style and a modern new interior. The owner kept the exterior look in addition to some details inside the home, but added a high quality renovation, fantastic indoor/outdoor living and a great backyard space embracing a big beautiful tree. The location puts you in the middle of Commercial Drive. This one is definitely worth a look!
