Townhomes and Half Duplexes in East Van saw a lot of activity last month with a 60% increase in sales over the previous month and a slight increase in prices. The Average price was $666,051 while the Median Price was $656,000. Similar to the condo market, the average price per sqft was at $506/sqft, which is significantly more affordable than the Westside. The most active markets are the $500,000 to $600,000 market and the $900,000+ market (all half duplexes). Notice the increase in prices over last year – most likely thanks to the new inventory hitting the market and the increase in interest from people moving to the East.

One of the most expensive half duplexes sold in East Van last month was at 16th and Sophia – only blocks to all the amenities and restaurants on Main St. This 1616 sqft home has 3 beds, 2 baths and 2 levels. The home has a private fenced backyard and single garage, and you can enjoy mountain views from the master bedroom. Listed for $999,888, it sold 4 days later for full asking price.
