The Fun Part of Home Buying: Touring Properties

A question to all the home buyers put there – have you been on any real estate tours with an agent? If not, what are you waiting for?
Real Estate Tours are a great way to get a feel for the properties, compare how they sound on paper to how that translates in real life, get information about the owners and the unit itself, learn about the building, check out a different neighbourhood and see how you like units when stacked up to each other.
For us real estate agents accompanying you, it gives us a chance to explain how building design affects value and future maintenance, to get a sense of how the building is maintained, to see how you react with each unit, to feel out the Sellers Agent and to get to know you!
Tours are the fun part of the job. We wouldn’t be in real estate if we didn’t really enjoy looking at property, so don’t think that you’re bothering us by wanting to view your potential homes! We’ll work on a list of properties to see together then I’ll make the calls to schedule the appointments. We can drive together if we’re seeing a number of properties, or meet at the address if we’re only seeing one or two. The time we have together in the car can be really useful to chat about your questions and the day to day living you can expect in the neighbourhood.
If you’re not already working with an agent, give us a call, you’ll be glad you did.
