I’m not afraid to admit I’ve definitely done my share of research when it comes to finding the best bars and pubs in East Vancouver. One of the great things about East Van is that it’s a hot bed for new, up and coming bars, meaning there’s always something new to discover. That said, at the time of writing this, these are our favourite places to frequent.
BEST PUB in EAST VANCOUVER
The Five Point tops this list. Offering the best wings in the city, a classic pub atmosphere, TVs to watch the games and daily drink & food specials – it’ll be hard not to order another round. They’ve got a patio that’s always full on nice days and you’re only steps to the next bar. They also have my favourite thing – Specials! Follow them on Twitter, they can be quite convincing.

BEST COCKTAILS in EAST VANCOUVER
The Cascade Room are your experts in stiff drinks.. “Thirst Come, Thirst Served”. They have a fine cocktail program with all of the classics and new drinks to keep your taste buds entertained. Go on Sunday’s for their Sunday Roast dinners.

BEST LATE NIGHT LOUNGE in EAST VANCOUVER
The Narrow Lounge should be your go to late night pub, and not because they’re open until 1am on weekdays (and 2am on weekends). Dark & narrow (hence the name), The Narrow hardly has a place to sit, not that you’ll mind, thanks to their extensive drink menu. Oh, and did I mention their awesome Tiki Patio?

BEST BAR PATIO in EAST VANCOUVER
Biercraft Tap and Tapas Bar is a great patio on Commercial Drive (which also has some of the other “best” patios in East Van). The patio gets some good sun, has a view of the always interesting Grandview Park, and has a wide enough selection of beer to satisfy anyone you bring with you.

BEST DATE BAR in EAST VANOUVER
The Keefer is one of the best date night bars in East Van. It’s dark and almost feels like a secret. The cocktails are delicious and different, and the room always has a great feel to it.
