RENOVATION REALITY – PART 1 – THE STARTING POINT.

I recently purchased a new condo in East Vancouver for myself.  It’s a large 1 bedroom in a mid 70″s wood frame building.  The top floor features 14′ vaulted ceilings in the living room and bedroom… something that I really liked. Other than some paint and carpeting, the unit was in mostly original condition.

FLOOR-PLAN.

I had a floor-plan done to give me a good idea of space/ layout and to help with trades and ordering flooring items. Plus I wanted to know it’s true measured size.

THE PLAN.

I wanted to re-do everything, as mentioned before this place was original… it needed some work BIG TIME

  • Kitchen – new custom flat white cabinetry, full-size appliances. Extend kitchen along East wall and added pantry, backsplash, new electrical & plumbing.
  • Bathroom – 60″ double vanity, new hexagon tile floor. Re-tile and new fixtures.
  • living room – white-wash cedar ceiling, drywall repairs, paint, new laminate floors, new trim.
  • bedroom – re-do closest, new floors, paint etc.
